STEM Pathways Academy

Incoming Manchester students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) can apply for admission into the STEM Pathways Academy, a special program that helps students develop the qualities of a successful science professional.

The STEM Pathways Academy is made possible by a grant from the National Science Foundation. A limited number of students who meet qualifications will be selected for admission into the program, which includes an additional $1,000-$8,000 per year in scholarships, depending on continuing eligibility.

Students who are accepted into the program will form a learning group in which they take classes together, work with professional, alumni and student mentors, perform research, and take yearly seminars that focus on career preparation.

Selection is based on academic record, financial need and intent to complete a bachelor’s degree in a STEM major. Applicants are required to complete a secondary application for admission that includes a 400-600 word essay and math and chemistry readiness tests.
