Manchester University / Alumni / Burt Field Final Game

Burt Field Final Game

On Saturday, Nov. 16, Manchester’s football team will play its last game on the field of Carl W. Burt Memorial Stadium. We invite you to join us for this historic Spartan event!

The day's festivities will begin at noon with a pre-game tailgate for all former players, cheerleaders, coaches and athletic trainers.  Kick-off is set for 1:30 p.m.  Please RSVP here for lunch.  All guests will receive a commemorative ticket.

The Carl W. Burt Memorial Stadium was dedicated in 1988. Carl “Barney” Burt, Class of 1925, is known as “The Father of Manchester Football”, and started his coaching career here in the fall of 1925. A personal friend of Notre Dame’s Knute Rockne, Coach Burt worked to implement the “Rockne system” here at Manchester by 1928. Coach Burt had 15 winning seasons compiling a record of 73-43-9.

Save the date - our first home football game in 2020 will be in our new athletic stadium in September!
