October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and #CareOnMU and Feminist Student Union will be hosting a talent show to honor survivors and support prevention of intimate partner violence! Our theme for this Voices Against Violence is “Truth-Telling”. Come share vocal performances that tell a personal story about lived experiences. In particularly, if it is anything from a characteristic that people who have survived domestic abuse embody or could use as empowerment, such as perseverance. We are excited to have special remarks and a poetry selection from President Dave McFadden.
Light Refreshments will be provided! All (Faculty, Staff, and Students) are welcome to perform, but there are limited performance slots.
