That’s right: the Manchester magazine will return in November with its first issue since 2019. Newly designed, the magazine will be exclusively online for all to read, free of charge.

Hello (fellow) alumni of Manchester!

It still feels strange to say that.

I’m Chloe Leckrone, recent graduate and even more recent hire of Manchester University. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in peace studies and English in May, and now work in the Office of Strategic Communications as the communications specialist. My first few months have been full of learning, mistake-making and coming to appreciate the things everyone who works behind the scenes at Manchester does for its students and alumni.

Along with writing and editing press releases and newsletter stories, I have taken on the responsibility – with lots of help from the people around me – of writing for and editing the university’s magazine.

That’s right: the Manchester magazine will return in November with its first issue since 2019. Newly designed, the magazine will be exclusively online for all to read, free of charge.

The online magazine will be designed in a vertical format, allowing readers to more easily read and navigate the stories on any device.

The last issue was published in the fall of 2019, centering on the expansion of health sciences at Manchester.

This new issue will focus on Manchester’s bold plans for the future. It will also feature stories about beloved spaces at Manchester, including Otho Winger Hall and Funderburg Library, and highlight Homecoming 2022 memories.

Manchester staples like the “Fountain Pen” from the editor, Class Notes and stories from the Archives will remain.
