MU Engage connects alumni in new ways

A graduate’s relationship with Manchester doesn’t end with a diploma at commencement.

It’s just the beginning with MU Engage, the new alumni-networking platform.

“We are so excited to be able to offer these connections to our alumni,” says Kylee Rosenbaum ’11 Moss, director of alumni relations at MU. “MU Engage truly reflects what we always tell our alumni about their alma mater – they are Spartans for life.”

The new platform is considerably more robust than the previous one, explains Moss, featuring a running feed of alumni updates, interesting content, photos and conversations.

A full opt-in directory of alumni and students allows participants to connect with the Manchester community around the world. The directory also helps alumni find old friends through messaging, which is routed to their email inboxes, protecting their privacy.

“I think the pandemic has helped all of us appreciate the value of staying connected, even if we don’t live near each other or can’t get together in person,” adds Moss. “A strong sense of community is, perhaps, the greatest common thread that runs through all of our experiences at Manchester. Now MU Engage is making that community stronger.”

Other features of MU Engage include:

  • A mentorship program in which you can provide mentoring to or receive mentoring from other members of the Manchester community.
  • A job board listing current employment opportunities posted by alumni, students and strategic partners
  • Group conversations allowing you to engage at a more granular level with those from the same graduating class, or with shared interests, careers, industries and locations
  • Events posted by alumni, students and others in the Manchester community, inviting you to upcoming events, coffee meetings around the world, webinars on topics of common interest, and other organic opportunities created for you and by you
