Works by Manchester University art professor, students featured in juried show

A work by Thelma Rohrer, a Manchester University assistant professor of art and director of the International Studies and Academic Enrichment program, has been accepted into the juried 2014 Clark Gallery Photography Show. Rohrer is from North Manchester. The work is Enlightenment, Nikko, Japan.

Works by MU students have also been accepted into the show:

  • Portal by Alex Weldy, a first-year student from Elkhart, is in the show. She is majoring in elementary education.
  • Covered Sidewalk and Ideal Shell by Jessica Klemm, a sophomore from Columbia City, have been accepted into the show. She is majoring in English with a minor in art. 

The Clark Gallery Photography Show at the Honeywell Center has a reputation of being one of the most competitive photography venues in the region.  This year 63 artists submitted 173 works with 77 works accepted for the exhibition. This year's judges were from Indianapolis, Wabash and Kokomo.

The exhibition is on view through Nov. 5 in the Clark Gallery, Honeywell Center, 275 W. Market St., Wabash, Ind.

A public reception, with comments by the judges, will be held on the closing evening of the exhibition: Wednesday, Nov. 5, beginning at 7 p.m.
