Indiana Academy honors MU trustee
A member of the Manchester University Board of Trustees is among four new members of the Indiana Academy, honored Monday by the Independent Colleges of Indiana for lifetimes of achievement and contributions to the state of Indiana.
John D. Zeglis, of Culver, is the retired president of AT&T and former chairman and CEO of AT&T Wireless after its IPO and spin off from AT&T. He is currently a member of the board of trustees at Manchester, Valparaiso University and University of Illinois’ College of Business Center for Professional Responsibility.
He is chairman of the NBA D-League team the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
Others being honored Monday, Oct. 20, include:
- Deborah J. Daniels, of Indianapolis, is an attorney who served as a U.S. attorney of the Southern District of Indiana and an assistant attorney general with the U.S. Department of Justice. She is a trustee of the University of Indianapolis and a former member of the board of visitors of DePauw University.
- Andrew E. Goebel, of Evansville, is the retired president and COO of Vectren Corp. He is on the board of trustees of University of Evansville and is a member of the Evansville-Vanderburgh County School Corp. Business Advisory Council and the Board of Directors of Old National Bancorp.
- Robert G. Jones, of Evansville, is the president and CEO of Old National Bancorp in Evansville and a member of its board of directors. He is on the boards of University of Evansville, Ivy Tech, Riley Hospital for Children, Evansville Business Leaders Roundtable for Education, American Bankers Council, and Evansville Sports Corp. He chairs the Evansville Regional Business Council.
