In the aftermath of Regret

On Sept. 24, at 7 p.m., the community is invited to join Manchester College students, faculty and staff in hearing a first-hand account of the effects of driving drunk.

Sean Jamian, narrator of the video Regret, returns to campus for a second time to talk about his friend, Chris Mason, who died in the May 2005 wreck of a car driven by Sean. Some of Chris’s close friends and family members will join this discussion.

The video about how the decision to drink and drive affected the lives of so many was created in Chris’s memory, in hopes its message would help curb drinking and driving among college students. Sean and two other friends in the car walked away from the crash. Sean’s blood alcohol level was 0.114; Indiana’s legal limit is 0.08. He went to jail for his decisions and was just released last spring.

The program in Cordier Auditorium is free, sponsored by an NCAA Speakers Grant and the local AACTION (Against Alcohol, Controlled substances, and Tobacco in our Neighborhoods).
