“Spring into Song”

at Manchester College concert April 4


Manchester College choral ensembles “Spring into Song” on Friday, April 4. The free spring choral concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Wine Recital Hall, headlining the Chamber Singers and the eight-woman Cantabile.


The Cantabile program, conducted by music lecturer Alan Chambers, includes the Korean folk song Ahrirang. Also on their program: Yonder Come Day, based on a traditional Georgia Sea Islands spiritual, and Thousand Tongues.


The Chamber Singers, conducted by College music director Debra Lynn, will share music performed on their spring tour with the Jazz Band. Blue Skies features soloists Rachael Heath ’08 and Caitlin Haynes’08, and Java Jive spotlights Mike Spaulding ’07, David Moan ’09, Nick Kenny ’10, Katherine Allen ’08, Ayana Brown ’09 and Anthony Balagadde ’11.
