with “Preludes, Fanfare and Jazz”

“Preludes, Fanfare and Jazz” – featuring the Symphonic Band and the Jazz Ensemble – opens at 7:30 p.m. in Cordier Auditorium. Tickets are $3; reservations are not necessary.

The Jazz Ensemble will perform a stylistic cornucopia ranging from the very traditional swing of Take the A Train by Billy Strayhorn to the more contemporary blues/rock-influenced Cantaloupe Island by Herbie Hancock (arranged by Frank Mantooth).
