Manchester University bands embrace “The National Pastime” in a baseball-themed concert on Wednesday, May 6.
The University Bands Concert is at 7:30 p.m. in Cordier Auditorium on the North Manchester campus. It is free and open to the public.
It will premier Casey at the Bat – originally a work for flute, piano and a narrator by northeast Indiana composer Diane Whitacre, it has been transcribed for concert band. The debut performance will be performed by the Manchester University Symphonic Band, conducted by Scott Humphries.
