Three choirs bring Spring Psalms

to Manchester College stage April 9-10

Manchester College presents Spring Psalms, A Choral Celebration of Biblical Psalms at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 9-10. The Wine Recital Hall performance is free. Reservations are not necessary.

Three choirs will take the stage: Cantabile, Chamber Singers and the A Cappella Choir, directed by Debra Lynn and Andrew Suhre.

Concert-goers are in for a range of music, from the 16th century Exultate Justi (Psalm 33:1-3) by Ludovico Viadana, to Bobby McFerrin’s feminine version of the 23rd Psalm, to Let My Cry Come Before Thee (Psalm 119) by Kent A. Newbury to Der Geist hilft unsrer Schwachheit auf by Johann Sebastian Bach and Cantate Domino (Psalm 96) by John Rutter.
