ISSUE #52 October/November 2014

Fall semester off to a great start!

Move-in Day at was an awesome experience! For some first-year students and families, it was the first time to witness how the Manchester community pulls together to support and help one another. Welcome Week followed, and helped new students get acclimated to their new “home away from home.” And through it all, Student Orientation Leaders (SOLs) genuinely enjoy helping new students find their way. Now the semester is already a month old, and students are bearing down with their studies and having a good time. We look forward to all things to come in the next few months – and doing it together!

Mark your calendars for Nov. 7

The Manchester community will be buzzing on Friday, Nov. 7. At 1:30 p.m., the University will officially usher in a new era with the inauguration of President David F. McFadden ’82. McFadden assumed his new role on July 1. Later in the evening, to help cap a year-long celebration of our 125th birthday, we welcome Chicago’s famous comedy troupe The Second City to the Embassy Theater in Fort Wayne … for “the perfect fusion of the laugh-tacular past and the future of funny!” Join us and help celebrate!
