ISSUE #54 February/March 2015

Class of 2014 sets the bar high

At Manchester, we take pride in the excellence our graduates demonstrate after college, and the Class of 2014 did not disappoint. Just over 97 percent of 2014 graduates who replied to our survey reported finding employment, admission to graduate school or work in volunteer services within six months of graduation. There is something special about Manchester graduates, and employers and graduate schools know it.

Donít forget the FAFSA deadline!

The deadline is fast approaching! If you want to receive federal financial aid, submitting the FAFSA to the U.S. Department of Education before Manchester’s March 1 priority deadline is essential!

When filling out and submitting your FAFSA, designate Manchester University as the recipient with the institutional code 001820. You can file your 2015-2016 FAFSA online at You'll be assigned a PIN number so you can check the status of your application later.

If your student graduates from Manchester this spring, celebrate – because you’ve already filled out your final FAFSA.

Secure your place in the MU community

When Manchester feels right, it’s time to deposit! Your enrollment deposit reserves your place at Manchester. Should we fill our residence halls (and it’s a real possibility this year), those students with deposits in by May 1 will be granted housing priority. Those without deposits may be placed on a housing wait list. If you have questions, contact your admissions counselor. We’re ready to answer your questions and excited to welcome you to the Manchester community!

Gear up for Lilí Sibs Weekend

Lil' Sibs Weekend, April 10 - 11, 2015, is an opportunity for students to bring their younger brother or sister (or any niece, nephew, cousin or friend who is 5 - 12 years old) to campus for a weekend full of fun and fellowship. All weekend activities, sponsored by Manchester Activities Council (MAC), are free to your student and his or her lil' sib (including meals).

Children must be registered to participate, and forms can be found here.

Questions? Contact Shanon Fawbush, director of student activities, or 260-982-5029.

Save the date for graduation

Just as the deadline for the FAFSA is fast approaching, so too is the day that every graduating senior looks forward to: Graduation Day. Be sure to mark your calendars for May 17. Baccalaureate begins at 11 a.m. in Cordier Auditorium, and Commencement begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Physical Education and Recreation Center (PERC). Doors open at 1:30 p.m. For more information about Graduation 2015, click here. We look forward to seeing you!
