Spartan Parent and Family Program

We’re in this together!

At Manchester, we do our best to ensure all students have the best college experience possible as they discover their best selves. With our new Spartan Parent and Family (SPF) Program, we’re looking to engage with one of our most valuable resources – you, the parents and families of our students – as partners in achieving that goal. After all, now that your students are “off to college,” they need your support more than ever.

Through the SPF Program, you’ll have a chance to be involved in a number of ways:

  • Stay up-to-date with regular communications and news from the University.
  • Help to enhance programming by sharing your own talents and experiences.
  • Strengthen the University’s mission by helping to further fundraising initiatives.
  • Plan for special visits and personal touch points with your student.
  • Get in the Manchester spirit with discounts on MU gear!

Enjoy benefits of the Black and Gold!

As a Spartan parent, you’re already part of the Manchester family! And through the SPF Program, all parents are automatically included in the BLACK level for the upcoming 2020-2021 academic year. Upgrade to the GOLD level to enjoy extra benefits, for an annual fee of just $50.

Help lead the effort.

If you’re interested in taking your engagement to a higher level, consider joining the Parent Council, composed of parents, families and graduates whose students attend(ed) Manchester.  As a member of the council, you’ll support other parents and families who have incoming students by welcoming them at selected admissions events and move-in days, making welcome calls, and participating at Family Weekend held in the spring semester. It’s a way you can help others who join the Manchester family by sharing your experiences and advice.

The Parent Council is made up of 12 individuals. Each member serves at least one academic year, and volunteers at one event per academic year.
