Areas of interest/Recent projects

My goals are to educate a generation of student pharmacists to become evidence-based clinicians and to advance evidence-based practices. I have a passion for drug information practice and the role pharmacists can play as advocates for rational drug therapy.

My primary scholarly interests include evaluation studies of drug information sources, including guidelines, tertiary resources, and primary literature, as well as advancing scholarship of teaching and learning in drug information, drug literature evaluation, and patient safety. I’m also interested in developing my leadership skills, mentoring students, residents, and faculty, and disseminating work related to best practices in these areas.

I’m active in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, where I serve in the leadership of the Library and Information Sciences section and edit the Core List of Journals for Pharmacy Education. I’m also a member of the Indiana Pharmacists Alliance Education Council and Director of Scholarship for the Indiana Pharmacy Resident Teaching Certificate Program.
