Potential Internet Outage
Our Internet service provider, I-Light, informed us that we may experience Internet outage on Sunday, August 18th, from midnight to 5:00 a.m.
Major Password Policy Change
We’ve mentioned this for a while, and it will happen in the near future. However, this is a complicated endeavor, and we want to ensure that we make this as secure but easy as possible.
Please stand by for further announcements.
New Emergency Alert System
You can sign up for Spartan Alerts using the new system. The easiest, most intuitive (in our opinion) way to enroll is to use the smartphone app. For more information, please see the updated Spartan Alerts page at
https://www.manchester.edu/student-life/university-safety/emergency-alert-system.
Whichever path you choose, please note that your MU email address and phone number (if an employee) are pre-filled in the contact information. You also must re-enter your personal information like cell phone and personal email address. These
did not get imported from the old system.
If you experience any problems with the enrollment process, please contact University Safety.
Change in AT&T FAN
If you are an AT&T customer, our Foundation Account Number (FAN) has officially changed. To receive the FAN discount, please update the FAN from 03445232 to 58379195. As your customer experience at the AT&T website varies, the best
approach to change the FAN to receive the discount may be to visit a local AT&T store (you can find on at 132 E Main Street in downtown North Manchester and several exist in Fort Wayne) or call AT&T customer service at 800-331-0500.
Please make the FAN change as soon as possible to avoid putting your discount at risk.
How to Report Spam Calls
If you’re tired of spam phone calls, you do have options. First, ensure that your private phone numbers are listed on the Do Not Call list at http://www.donotcall.gov. Unfortunately,
some organizations/people do not follow the Do Not Call restrictions. If you still receive spam calls, you can report the calling information to the Federal Trad Commission (FTC). The site to submit your complaints is found at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1.
Training
Please take advantage of the online training opportunities available to you. For everyone who uses Microsoft, a wealth of training subjects awaits you at the Imagine Academy. For employees who use Colleague, we have online training available
until June 30, 2020.
In either case, please contact the ITS Help Desk to receive information about how to access the training tools.
