Women’s Soccer Confident in Team despite Season’s Conclusion

Eleven women take the field. All of them determined to be better than yesterday. Everyone has the same goal: “Let’s get after it. IT’S GAME DAY!” After a change in coaching staff, the Manchester University Women’s Soccer team has turned a new leaf.

Senior Captain, Bridget Nash, said this about her confidence in the team, “I am very confident in this team. With the coaching that we have and the talent on our roster, I think the possibilities are endless if we take advantage of those opportunities.”

When asked about the new coach, junior Adelle Stanko said, “Having a head coach feels incredible.” Stanko also added, “The dynamic from our coaching staff, Coach Katie and Coach Donye, is entirely different from Christine’s approach. I can tell all of the girls are learning more and feeling more excited to be at practice everyday.”

With every great team, comes the opportunity to make goals and to follow through on those goals to the end. “I hope to see the team continue to grow and push to be a contender in our conference this season,” senior Hannah Hilliker stated.

The women’s soccer team concluded their season on Wednesday, Oct. 27 in a game against Bluffton, which they lost 1-0.
