It has been well over a month since social distancing began in the United States, and now millions of Americans are stuck at home, which makes this the perfect time to dive into a new TV series. But with so many choices out there, it is hard to choose which one to watch.

Worry no more, for the Oak Leaves has a list of the best shows to watch across the three major streaming platforms: Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime.

One of the first major platforms to emerge in the streaming era, Hulu has become a staple household streaming service for millions of Americans. With that said, one of its major shows to watch is the awarding winning Hulu Original Series “Ramy.” It’s a comedy series that revolves around the life of a Muslim American millennial trying to find his path.

Ramy is conflicted about what he wants in life and struggling to find the answer. At the same time, his Muslim community, friends and his religion are all on the weight of his shoulders. The first season consists of 10 episodes, and the second season of “Ramy” is set to be released on May 29.

For Amazon Prime users, we recommended the action-packed series “Jack Ryan.” Based on Tom Clancy's novels, the series features Ryan, a veteran who works for the CIA as an analyst, and he soon finds himself in the center of a dangerous field assignment. Throughout the series, Ryan is trying to get away from the battlefield, but he somehow always becomes the nation's last hope.

“Jack Ryan” is an excellent series for those who love action scenes, explosions and drama. And “The Office's” John Krasinski plays the titular character, too. The first two seasons are on Amazon Prime, with season three in the works and rumored to be released late 2020 or early 2021.

Our final recommendation is on the giant streaming service Netflix, which has recently added 15 million subscribers this quarter. The most talked-about series of 2020 is “Tiger King.” The docu-series takes the viewer into the world of big-cat breeding and the unusual characters that come along with it.

“Tiger King” revolves around the life of Joe Exotic, a fascinating character who was the owner of the G.W. Zoo. With his crazy antics and his eccentric lifestyle, the viewer gets a personal look into the world of Joe Exotic.

This docu-series is filled with other bizarre characters in the big cat breeding world; indeed, one forgets that all these events and people are completely real. There has never been something like “Tiger King,” which has made it the number one program on Netflix for weeks now. Whether you like or dislike the docu-series, it's so addictive that we couldn't help but watch all eight episodes.
