Anna Richison

Anna Richison, RN

Director of Health Services,

Anna Richison earned her RN degree from the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Ind. She joined Manchester University in August 2014. Her 25 years experience includes emergency room, medical-surgical, occupational health and office nursing.

Anna lives in Huntington. She is married and has four children and three grandchildren.

Kelly Hippensteel

Kelly Hippensteel

Administrative Assistant,

Kelly Hippensteel joined Manchester University in January 2005. She had previously worked in human resources for five years and has an associate's degree in accounting. She is also the administrative assistant for Counseling Services.

Kelly lives in Huntington. She is married and has one daughter who graduated from Manchester University in 2016. 


Student Health Assistants

Student Health Assistants

Health Assistants work under the supervision of the director of health services and are considered part of the student experience student staff. Health assistants are expected to live on campus and are expected to participate in a reasonable number of activities on campus. However, this position in health care should be considered the principle out-of-class activity and responsibility. Staff members are expected to maintain good academic standing and a standard of personal conduct commensurate with their responsibilities. Health assistants are required to understand, follow and sign this statement of confidentiality upon beginning employment with Manchester University Health Services:

"I understand that in the course of my employment at Manchester University Health Services, I will be exposed to personal confidential medical information. I realize that this information has been recorded and obtained for the purpose of medical treatment of the patient and is strictly confidential. I shall use the information only in completion of my job responsibilities and will hold it in the most strict confidence. Under no circumstance will I release any information to an unauthorized person. Under no circumstance will I tamper with, alter or destroy confidential information from a medical record within the retention period. I understand that violation of this policy subjects termination of employment."

Andrew Giles
My name is Andrew Giles, I am from Elizabethtown Kentucky. I am a senior biology-chemistry major here at Manchester and also a member of the men’s soccer team. After college I plan on going to medical school with a focus in oncology. A few fun facts about me are that I am a huge nerd and my favorite animal is the cuttlefish.

Kelsey Ropp
My name is Kelsey Ropp, I am a senior bio-chem major and this will be my second year as a student health assistant. I’m also on the women’s soccer team and I’m a member of the Manchester’s activities council. Working as an SHA has been a rewarding experience and I’m so excited to be a part of health services again. One interesting fact about me is that I learned how to surf in Nicaragua.

Katie Brown
Hello! My name is Katie Brown and I am a senior athletic training student here at Manchester. I am captain of the MU dance team, a student athletic trainer for volleyball, and involved in hall council, as well as this is my first year as a student health assistant. My career goal is to become a physician assistant and a fun fact about me is that this January I am going to Nicaragua on the medical practicum.

Anthea Ayebaze
Anthea Ayebaze, I’m a junior majoring in premed (bio-chem). I’m from Kampala, Uganda which is in East Africa. I like reading novels and meeting new people. Fun fact about me; I almost broke my foot learning how to skateboard this summer, but I’m still going to buy one because skateboarding is pretty addictive.
