Latter-day Saints Students

Latter-day Saints Students

Manchester welcomes students from many different faiths, and return missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints might find the programs in Manchester’s Gilbert College of Business, along with the University’s mission and values, to be an ideal fit.

Jumpstart to a Business Career

Return missionaries have the opportunity to earn up to 15 semester hours of business course credit for their lived experience and may also be qualified to earn additional credit in a foreign language. This could lead to cutting a semester or more from the time to earn a degree. Enroll in Fast Forward and graduate in three years to enter the workforce a year earlier and increase your lifetime earning potential!

Gilbert College of Business Values

The Gilbert College of Business instills in our students many of the skills, ethics, and mindsets in which return missionaries have developed proficiency through their service: self-discipline, goal-setting, a strong work ethic, resolving concerns and building relationships of trust. We believe we can help return missionaries capitalize on the confidence and resiliency they developed during their mission service by providing instruction and skills to support their professional careers.

The College of Business values:
  • Integrity—developing a strong ethical foundation for making difficult decisions in a complex business environment
  • Respect—fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and stewardship
  • Excellence—striving to create an atmosphere in which the performance of students surpasses even their own expectations
