Emily specializes in helping students who are interested in studying art, biology-chemistry, chemistry, digital media arts, English, gender studies, individualized studies, journalism, medical technology, music, music education, peace studies, philosophy, population health, pre-pharmacogenomics, pre-pharmacy, religious studies, Spanish and TESOL.

Emily joins us from the tiny town of Wolcott, Ind. She is a recent grad from Manchester University in the spring of 2021. While studying here, she earned a degree in secondary English education, ran cross country and track, worked too many on-campus jobs to count, and participated in every club she could make time for. Before coming back to Manchester, she taught high school English at Snider High School in Fort Wayne. She found that her passion to help students grow and excel would be better suited at the college level. Emily wants to be an admissions counselor to help students navigate their way toward a scary, yet exciting and developmental time. A fun fact about Emily is that art has always been a large passion of hers, and she runs an art business online.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in sport management with a minor in journalism from Manchester in 2016. I received my Master of Science degree in Leadership from Trine University in October 2019. I loved my time at Manchester and I became an admissions counselor to help give that experience back to you! Before returning to Manchester, I was a sports reporter at The Bryan Times and a general assignment reporter at the Paulding Progress. My favorite part about Manchester is the sense of community and the family feel. You can’t go anywhere on campus without knowing someone. I also loved my time as a cross country and track and field distance runner for the Spartans. I am the biggest Friends TV show fan, Colts fan, Duke basketball fan, and Pepsi fan. I hope I get the chance to get to know you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at anytime!
