Manchester University fall choral concert is Nov. 1

Manchester University A Cappella Choir and Chamber Singers will present their fall concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at Cordier Auditorium on the North Manchester campus.

A Cappella Choir is the largest choral group on campus, with members who are music majors and those who are not. Chamber Singers is a smaller, auditioned group that comes from among members of the A Cappella Choir.

Robert Lynn, an adjunct faculty member in the Music Department, directs both groups this semester.

The ensembles will perform standard choral repertoire, featuring pieces by Handel, Mendelssohn, Farmer and Manchester’s own Professor Debra Lynn. She is on sabbatical.

All singers will wear normal face masks or masks designed specifically for singers, and they will practice social distancing.

Social distancing and face masks are required for audience members.
