McKenna-Buchanan wins award for journal article

An article co-authored by Tim McKenna-Buchanan, assistant professor of communication studies, has been selected for the 2016 Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity Article of the Year award. “To Be or Not To Be Out in the Classroom: Exploring Communication Privacy Management Strategies of Lesbian, Gay, and Queer College Teachers,” was published in the Communication Education journal in 2015. The award is sponsored by the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Caucus of the Central States Communication Association and acknowledges the most outstanding scholarship published in a peer-reviewed journal during the previous calendar year.
