Transfer Students

Why Transfer to MU?

Are you considering transferring from your current college or university? If you're looking for flexible credit transfers, diverse opportunities for study and a track record of outstanding student successes, then Manchester could be your place!

Manchester offers more than 60 areas of study to meet a wide variety of academic interests and opportunities. We prepare our students for what's next by getting them real experience and, because of our academic excellence, our students stand out against the competition. In fact, 97 percent of Manchester's 2013 graduates were employed, in graduate programs or service work within six months of graduation.

Credit Transfer Information

Naturally, you should be concerned that your hard-earned credits will transfer to Manchester from your current or previous college or university. Manchester will work with you individually to make sure that your credits are reviewed thoroughly and that you understand the credit transfer process. Here are a few general guidelines to see whether your class will transfer:

  • Credits were awarded by an accredited institution
  • Course is a 100 level or higher
  • You received a grade of a C or higher
  • Manchester offers a course equal to and/or fits our core curriculum
  • Classes to be applied to a major will need approval from academic department

We do have a partial listing of classes that are commonly transferred into Manchester from other institutions. These are NOT all the courses that are accepted, but a sampling. Please contact us with questions regarding a specific course(s).

Students who attend or plan to attend Ivy Tech can take advantage of our Bridge Program. Manchester has designated specific courses that  are transferable so that you may plan ahead.
