Posted Feb. 14 - Fourth-year pharmacy student Lisa Pineros-Jacobs is Manchester’s winner in the final round of the National Patient Counseling Competition (NPCC). As a result, Lisa will represent MU in the national competition at the annual meeting of the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP).

Students were given a patient profile with a specific medication on which to counsel a standardized patient.  They had five minutes to prepare with drug information resources and five minutes to counsel a patient.  First runner-up is Sara Shahdoost Moghadam, a third-year student.
