Phase 1 - Online and Essential
May 18 - June 14

• Summer classes will remain in an online/remote format.
• Campus will remain closed to students and visitors. Students who have lived on campus during remote learning may continue to stay.
• Colleagues for whom it is best to do their work when others are not on campus may return. This includes specific departments such as maintenance, grounds and custodial staff. Some faculty may also return to campus to perform research.
• These employees will need to refine habits to focus on social distancing, cleaning and hygiene.
  
• Other colleagues may request access to their offices to obtain belongings by emailing health@manchester.edu prior to their arrival. This will allow us to ensure buildings and spaces can be unlocked, monitored and cleaned appropriately. A cloth mask or facial covering (such as a bandana) is required when on campus. All colleagues who return to work on campus must complete a training session.
• May 24 – Indiana enters Stage 3 of Governor Eric Holcomb’s “Getting Indiana Back on Track” plan.
• June 8 – P4 Pharmacy students begin their first four-week summer experiential rotations.
• June 14 – Indiana enters Stage 4 of Governor Eric Holcomb’s “Getting Indiana Back on Track” plan.

Phase 2 - Cautiously Returning
June 15 - August 1

• Summer classes will remain in an online/remote format, with the exception of one chemistry lab course and on-campus Master's in Pharmacogenomics courses (resuming July 1).
• Colleagues will begin to be brought back into office settings.
• Offices will need to refine habits to focus on social distancing, cleaning and hygiene.
• The reopen work group will work with supervisors to determine how and when colleagues can return. All colleagues who return to work on campus must complete a training session.
• Colleagues must have supervisor approval to return to campus during this phase.
• June 16 – Prospective students and families may resume campus visits while adhering to safe practices for social distancing and hygiene. This date subject to change.

Phase 3 - Focus on Fall
Begins August 1

• Our overarching goals are to provide students with an excellent experience and maintain the health of our campus communities. 
• Work to “de-densify” our campuses, which means we want to spread people out, give them enough space to social distance and discourage them from congregating in groups or lines.

Students

Faculty

• Plan to be on campus the days you teach, have in-person office hours, conduct research or need to monitor labs in person.
• Use virtual office hours as much as possible.
• Hold department and committee meetings virtually.
• Work with other faculty on the same halls to stagger your times on campus.
• Work from home as much as possible.
• Complete the Daily Work Log and COVID-19 Personal Daily Checklist as outlined in the Spartans United Reopening Plan.

Office Staff

• If you work in an office area with multiple people, try to have only half the staff in the office on a given day. Work with your supervisor to create a schedule.
• Staff members who sit close to each other should come to campus on different days or rearrange work spaces if possible.
• Hold department, committee and other meetings virtually.
• Focus on student-facing tasks while you are on campus. 
• Complete the Daily Work Log and COVID-19 Personal Daily Checklist as outlined in the Spartans United Reopening Plan.

• Campus visitors must be registered and approved to come to campus.
• Residential life will approve visitors to residence halls.
• Admissions will approve incoming student and family guests.
• Conference Services will approve all other external guests.
