Memorial flowers at Intercultural Center

Feb. 23: Media update for Manchester memorial service

There will be a memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Cordier Auditorium on the North Manchester campus of Manchester University. It is open to the public, and the media may be in the auditorium.

HOWEVER: Out of respect for those who are grieving, no still or video cameras, sound recordings or broadcasts will be permitted inside the auditorium building. The University is recording the memorial for family members who cannot attend. Turn off all cell phones and electronic devices inside the building. You may take notes on paper, but no texting or broadcasting will be permitted from inside the auditorium.

Manchester University is a private institution, and anyone violating these stipulations will be asked to leave the grounds immediately. The grounds, internal pathways and all buildings of Manchester University are private property. Anyone who is asked to leave and does not may be subject to legal action.

Parking is available on East Street near the Jo Young Switzer Center.
