IMEA Intercollegiate Band

Spartans perform with Indiana Intercollegiate Band 

Five Manchester University students were selected to perform with the Indiana Intercollegiate Band for 2022.

Rehearsals and the concert took place during the Indiana Music Education Association professional development conference Jan. 13-15 in Fort Wayne. 

The Manchester students performed with 90 students from most of the universities around the state. They were under the baton of the world-renowned Jerry Junkin, who is the director of bands at the University of Texas.

The concert was at the Embassy Theatre on Jan. 15.

The students were (from left) Alexis Crawford, French horn, junior music education major; Kyle Bailey, trombone, senior general music major; Erika Renbarger, flute, junior biology-chemistry major; Joel Kelley, euphonium, sophomore music education major; and Lydia Kelly (not pictured), percussion, senior biology-chemistry major and music minor.
