Enrollment in mathematics, chemisty, French, German, and Spanish courses requires completion of placement exams.
The exams linked below are for persons not attending or admitted to Manchester University. Current students may access the placement exams at the Office of the Registrar's site on Gateway. Admitted students may access the placement exams on the Future Students site on Gateway.
CHEMISTRY PLACEMENT EXAM
Persons who have completed at least one year of high school chemistry should take this exam to determine placement in either CHEM-105 Intro to Inorganic Chemistry or CHEM-111 General Chemistry I.
MATHEMATICS PLACEMENT EXAM
Any person wishing to enroll in a mathematics course and has not earned college-level credit in mathematics is required to take the placement exam.

MODERN LANGUAGE PLACEMENT EXAMS
Persons who have completed two or more years of high school study in French, German, or Spanish and who wish to enroll in a language course, must complete the placement exam for the specific language.
