Information Technology Services

What is ITS?

Information Technology Services (ITS) is one team in the Office of Financial Affairs division and an essential component of campus life. The department consists of 17 full-time staff members, each with varying specialties, to support the University's needs. The ITS team also employs a number of student workers filling a variety of roles. Together, the team works to provide the strategic direction and daily support for a wide variety of technology-based systems, including:

  • Over 800 University-owned PCs and associated software packages (including Windows 7/10, Office 2013/2016, and many others).
  • 2 major computer labs, several academic department labs and labs in each resident hall for a total of over 175 student-accessible PCs.
  • Wireless network coverage over most of the campuses.
  • A 750Mb of Internet bandwidth and a 10Gb connection to the statewide I-Light network that links all Indiana colleges/universities and the state government.  Sites like Netflix work on the 10Gb portion of our connection.
  • 1Tb of email and file storage through Office 365.
  • "ResNet" Internet connectivity for all resident hall occupants.
  • Academic and administrative systems like Canvas, Colleague and Raiser's Edge.
  • Our very own 100+ channel digital cable TV system with many HD channels and HBO.
  • A mobile app available for both Android and Apple.
