The online program offers the same excellent training and personal attention as the on-campus option. It lasts two years and gives students the option of earning the degree where they live and work. The online program offers two tracks: laboratory and clinical:
The laboratory track is designed for current laboratory technicians or those who already have a bachelor’s degree in a science field. It is the same curriculum as our on-campus PGx program and trains students to work in PGx laboratories. It requires two onsite training times (two weeks each, in second summer semester and in final spring semester).
The clinical track is designed for health care providers such as physicians, pharmacists and genetic counselors and trains professionals to implement PGx in their practice. This track does not require any onsite training.
Students must choose a track prior enrollment and are not allowed to change tracks once underway.
