Religious Life - Petersime Chapel

Petersime Chapel

Petersime Chapel is located in the center of campus at the south end of the mall. Built in 1961, the building has a sanctuary, conference room, lounge, library, prayer/mediation rooms, the pastor's office, and the student assistants' office.

Chapel worship services are held in Petersime Chapel every Tuesday at 7 p.m. Attendance is voluntary, but these services provide opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to worship and fellowship together. The university pastor and student assistants plan services that allow interested students to participate in music, drama, scripture reading, and other expressions of worship that celebrate the life of Christ, the grace of God, and the joys and concerns of the University community. Other special services are occasionally held each semester. See Spartan Life for upcoming worship opportunities.

While Manchester University is affiliated with the Church of the Brethren, the chapel services are ecumenical.

On Sunday mornings, students are encouraged to attend a local congregation. To schedule a ride for Sunday morning, call or email the Religious Life office at (260) 982-5243 before 5 p.m. Friday.

Manchester Catholics holds a weekly discussion and fellowship time in the chapel on Wednesday evenings. Some students attend mass together at St. Robert's Catholic Church Sundays at 11 a.m. Other Bible studies take place through the week.
