Ensuring Academic Excellence
Manchester University takes a robust and integrated approach to assessment and accreditation, led by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, which ensures alignment between evaluation, planning, and strategic decision-making.
Assessment
Manchester University’s assessment process is designed to measure student learning outcomes and inform continuous improvement across academic programs. By collecting and analyzing both direct and indirect evidence, the university ensures that data-driven insights guide curriculum development and resource planning.

Accreditation
The university maintains institutional accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission. Each academic program defines clear student learning outcomes, systematically collects both direct and indirect evidence, and uses these data to drive curriculum improvements and resource allocation. In addition, discipline-specific programs such as nursing, athletic training, and teacher education hold specialized accreditations (for example, CCNE and CAEP), reaffirming Manchester’s commitment to quality and continuous enhancement across its academic portfolio.
