MU Spartan Pride Band Camp 2025 General Information

Unlike most high school bands, marching band at Manchester University is free! The only costs to students are buying a pair of approved marching shoes and purchasing a show shirt. In addition, Scholarships are available!

Important Band Camp Dates:

August 9th - Leadership move-in/Staff move-in day
August 10 - New Member Move-in day woodwinds-brass/All Drumline/All Guard
August 11 - New Member WW-Brass/All Drumline/All Guard camp begins & Returner woodwinds/brass move-in day
August 12-20 - Full Band Camp
August 21- WOW Performance
August 25 - First Day of Fall '25 Semester!

Band Camp Daily Schedule

Morning music or marching block - 9-11:30 a.m.
Afternoon music block- 1-4:30 p.m.
Evening block – 6-8 p.m.

Band Camp Necessities

Athletic shoes (no crocs/sandals/opened-toed)
Socks
Lightweight athletic clothing – light color recommended
Sunscreen
Water jug – either gallon or half-gallon
Hat
Sunglasses
Towel
Instrument necessities (IE. Polishing cloth, valve/slide oil, reeds, cork grease etc.)
Deodorant

Camp Costs

No overall camp cost (meals provided as well)
You will need to purchase your own marching shoes and shirts (done during camp)
