Human Services
The human services minor is useful to any student interested in a career helping people and communities meet their basic human needs.

Human Services Minor
This is an attractive option for students from various majors (peace studies, psychology, educational studies, sociology, etc.) who are headed toward careers in human/social services, but who will not complete the full social work major. While it cannot be a path to professional social work licensure or advanced standing in MSW programs, a minor in human services will help graduates with other majors be more marketable and better equipped to serve the public in their future careers.
Students minoring in human services take courses in social work, sociology and peace studies, and they complete a 120-hour practicum.
