Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Brian Cashdollar will enter his 26th year at Manchester University in 2024-25. Since arriving in North Manchester in 1999, Coach Cashdollar has played an instrumental role in developing the Spartan cross country and track & field programs into consistent conference title contenders. Under Cashdollar’s guidance, the Manchester University cross country programs have won a combined 18 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championships. The men claimed five straight HCAC titles from 2009-2013 and won their most recent conference championship in 2023. The women earned four straight titles from 2009-2012 and won their most recent conference championship in the fall of 2022. Overall, Coach Cashdollar has guided the men to eight HCAC titles and the women to 10 HCAC titles. Four teams have qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships during Cashdollar’s tenure (2009, 2011-13). Additionally, seven individuals have qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships. Coach Cashdollar was named the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2011 and has garnered a total of 28 HCAC Coach of the Year awards. He has coached 41 all-region athletes in cross country, including 15 conference MVPs and eight conference Freshman of the Year. During Cashdollar’s tenure, 176 total Spartans have garnered All-HCAC or Honorable Mention All-HCAC honors in cross country. At the helm of the track and field programs, Cashdollar has led the Spartans to a combined 10 HCAC titles. In 2022, both the Manchester men and women swept both the indoor and outdoor HCAC titles; the men’s titles were the first in program history. The women swept track titles for the first time since 2016 and completed the HCAC Triple Crown” of winning a cross country
