David McGrady received his B.A. in Accounting and Business from Franklin College in 1978 and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1979. Professor McGrady began his career as a tax manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Fort Worth, Texas working with clients including Pier 1. He then served as an instructor and the program director for the financial planning concentration at Eastern Illinois University. Professor McGrady has served on the Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association of Illinois and Mid Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters. He has completed numerous consulting engagements primarily valuing marital interests in defined benefit plans. He is a certified public accountant, a CFP® and teaches courses in accounting and finance
