Mitch Schall joined the Manchester University Swimming & Diving program as an assistant coach in September 2021. Schall completed his second year as an assistant coach at Manchester in 2022-23. In his second year with the Manchester swimming and diving program, the Black and Gold doubled their team scores from a season ago with two fifth-place finishes at the HCAC Swimming and Diving Championships. The Spartans set over 50 new Manchester All-Time Top 10 marks and school records. Seven Manchester swimming and diving student-athletes were named to the HCAC All-Academic Team. During his first year at Manchester, Schall helped develop and guided a young group of swimmers to over 100 new Top Time 10 times as well as a pair of new school records. Additionally, the Manchester University women’s swimming & diving team earned Scholar All-America honors from the Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) in the fall. First-years Alexis Ferguson and Takoda Stone were named to the Christopher M. Ragsdale HCAC All-Sportsmanship Team at the conclusion of the season. Schall arrives in North Manchester after serving as a swim director and age groups coach at the Rose E. Schneider YMCA, Riverside Aqua Club, and Git Fit Families LCC, all located in western Pennsylvania. During the 2020-21 year, Schall served as an assistant swim coach at North Catholic High School located in Cranberry Twp, Pa. Schall assisted a North Catholic program that broke nearly every school record on the men’s side, while also earning a top 20 finish at PIAA States. Schall was a member of the Notre Dame College (Ohio) swimming program during his undergraduate career. Schall was named the Notre Dame College Most Improved Player in 2015. He was also a two-time CSCAA Academic All-American. Schall graduated from Notre Dame College in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.
