Dr. Suad Gumus earned her BS degree in education with specializations in Elementary Education and Literature from the Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University in Turkey in 1995 and her Special Education endorsement in 1997. She completed her M.S. degree in Special Education at Indiana University (IUB) in 2002. In 2008, Dr. Gumus earned her Ph.D. from Indiana University with concentrations in Teacher Education, Early Childhood Education and Early Intervention, and High Incidence Disabilities. Dr. Gumus has also earned her Graduate Reading Certificate in Reading Educating Education in 2017 from Appalachian State University. Dr. Gumus started to work at Manchester University on January 2, 2024, as an Associate Professor and Director of Teacher Education. Dr. Gumus loves traveling the world, attending conferences to present about her educational research and publications but also is a fan of gardening and cooking with her own produce for her family and friends.
