Discover Your Passions
Mallorie Jennings’ life is an open book. The book is her planner. And it’s open because she’s usually writing something down in it. An accounting major at Manchester, she’s also a pitcher for the Spartans softball team. And a student manager for the women’s basketball team. And the women’s basketball recruiting secretary. And a tutor. And a member of any number of student organizations.
Mallorie came to Manchester as a quiet and reserved student, but professors and coaches pushed her to explore her interests and try new things. She’s planning to use the combination of her broad experiences to work in auditing for a public accounting firm. She looks forward to interviewing with different firms at the annual College of Business Accounting Mixer.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
Mallorie has had plenty of experience with time management. With her full schedule, she’s found that staying on track can be tough. “But I’ve found a way to do it and still be successful. It’s all about being flexible.”
Her advice for staying on track for success after graduation? “All the great services in the Success Center sometimes get overlooked. The Success Center doesn’t just offer tutoring services. They can help find internships, job shadows, connect students with alumni in their field, mock interviews and many other things.”

RECOMMENDED CLASSES
World Literature – I went into the class thinking I wasn’t going to enjoy it, but I learned so much. The books we read were great and it made me open my mind to things I was not familiar with.
WHAT PEOPLE MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT MU
Manchester has so many opportunities for students to study away. I know many students might not want to go for a whole semester so traveling during January session is a great option! Due to athletics, I would not be able to study away for a whole semester, but this January I am taking advantage of the opportunity to go to New Zealand!
ADVICE FOR STUDENTS LOOKING AT MU
My advice is to get involved! The more involved you are the more connections and relationships you make.
