Jenna Encheff, PT, PhD, CMPT, CERP, joins the DPT faculty in our School of Health Professions & Nursing, and brings over 20 years of teaching in physical therapy programs as well as 30 years of clinical experience in both orthopedic and neurologic settings. Dr. Encheff earned her physical therapy degree, Master’s degree in Exercise Science, and PhD in Biomechanics all from the University of Toledo. Prior to this appointment, she taught primarily anatomy, biomechanics, neuroscience, and musculoskeletal and neurologic rehabilitation courses to DPT students at the University of Findlay as well as Trine University. Dr. Encheff also brings significant experience in curriculum design and assessment, student success, and research to Manchester University. Her clinical background includes primarily inpatient neurologic rehabilitation, out-patient orthopedics, and acute care. Dr. Encheff is a Certified Manual Physical Therapist and a Certified Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner. She currently practices in both acute care and out-patient orthopedic settings near Toledo, OH on a PRN basis and evaluates and treats horses and dogs throughout OH and MI. She also is a Licensed Para-Equestrian Classifier through the United States Equestrian Federation for which she evaluates and classifies para-athletes for national and international competitions.
Dr. Encheff has three Off-track Thoroughbreds that she enjoys riding and having fun with in her free time, a rescue dog, Jemima, three house cats and a barn kitty along with many feral cats she feeds a buffet to every day (and attempts to TNR). In her free time, she loves to visit wineries, read, garden, bike/hike, and enjoy nature. Travelling is her passion and she has been fortunate enough to visit all 50 states and 22 countries (so far…).
