Undergraduate Scholarships

Manchester offers renewable scholarships and grants to incoming students. We strongly believe that you have worked hard to earn your place in college and deserve financial assistance in the pursuit of your degree.

We begin with academic scholarships: Each admitted student’s application is reviewed by hand. Academic scholarships are determined based on unweighted cumulative high school GPA.

Academic Scholarships

FIRST YEAR STUDENTS

  • Director’s Award - $12,000 (GPA less than 3.0)
  • Founders’ Scholarship - $15,000 (GPA 3.0 - 3.24)
  • Faculty Scholarship - $17,000 (GPA 3.25 - 3.49)
  • Dean’s Scholarship - $20,000 (GPA 3.5 - 3.89)
  • Presidential Scholarship - $22,000 (GPA 3.9+)
  • Honors Scholarship - Covers tuition, room & board and fees (eligibility requirements)
TRANSFER STUDENTS
  • Director’s Award - $12,000 (GPA 2.0 - 2.49)
  • Founders’ Scholarship - $15,000 (GPA 2.5 - 2.99)
  • Faculty Scholarship - $17,000 (GPA 3.00 - 3.24)
  • Dean’s Scholarship - $20,000 (GPA 3.25 - 3.49)
  • Presidential Scholarship - $22,000 (GPA 3.5+)

Indiana Tuition Bridge Program

First-year Indiana students who meet specific eligibility criteria may qualify for the Indiana Tuition Bridge Program, which is designed to eliminate out-of-pocket tuition expenses at Manchester University. Read more >  

Other Awards

  • Connections Award - $1,000 
    Awarded to students who are members of the Church of the Brethren or who have a family member who attended Manchester.
  • Esports Scholarship - up to $3,000
    Awarded to students who are members of the Manchester University Esports team.
  • Music Scholarship - up to $3,000
    Awarded to students who participate in a Manchester University music ensemble.
  • Multicultural Excellence in Leadership Scholarship - covers tuition, fees, plus room & board

    Qualifications:
    • Be an incoming first-year, undergraduate student
    • Identify as a racial or ethnic minority
    • Have been admitted to Manchester University 
    • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on 4.0 scale
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

MU Grant (Need based aid)

Manchester aid awarded to students based on financial need (as determined by the FAFSA).

Matching Programs

  • Dollars for Scholars Match - up to $500 per year
    Matching program awarded to students who receive a Dollars for Scholars award.
  • Church Scholarship Match - up to $500 per year
    Matching program awarded to students who receive a church scholarship.

Visit Incentive - $500 per year

Awarded to students who complete an admissions visit to Manchester University during the spring semester of their junior year or anytime during their senior year. Schedule your visit now!
