Managing Your Mental Health

If you are experiencing a concern, and it’s bothering you or interfering with your life, then it’s significant enough to allow yourself to have support. Mental health encompasses a wide range of functioning including: emotional, social and mental well-being. Managing your mental health is just as important as other daily health activities that you engage in such as brushing your teeth or washing your hands. Counseling services can help you identify areas that are negatively impacting your health and create new ways to engage in healthier habits.

Additional benefits of counseling include:

  • Increased confidence in making decisions
  • Increased coping skills to manage stress
  • Increased interpersonal skills
  • Increased ability to identify and manage emotions
  • Increased self-esteem, self-worth and self-acceptance
  • Decreased substance use
  • Increased problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Increased communication skills
  • Decreased symptoms of depression and anxiety
