Cheryl Rockwell, EdD, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, CCRN
Assistant Professor of Nursing
Cheryl L. Rockwell, Ed.D. in Health Care Professions, joins the nursing faculty in our School of Health Professions & Nursing, bringing decades of experience in nursing practice, education, leadership, and professional development. Prior to this appointment, she served for two years as an adjunct faculty for our Accelerated BSN (ABSN) and Traditional BSN Students (TBSN). Her background includes extensive clinical expertise in surgical trauma, neurotrauma, cardiovascular, and critical care settings, along with a strong record of mentoring nursing students and supporting excellence in patient care.
Rockwell has taught nursing students across accelerated, traditional, and RN-to-BSN programs and has developed courses in capstone leadership, trauma nursing, and professional nursing practice. She also brings significant experience in curriculum design, online and hybrid teaching, simulation, accreditation, and nursing continuing professional development, including leadership in ANCC Nursing Continuing Professional Development accreditation work.
