Meghan Tizzano, PhD, RD/LD

Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Nutrigenomics

Meghan Tizzano, Ph.D., RD/LD, is joining our Nutrition & Nutrigenomics (NGx) program as an assistant professor of Nutrition and Nutrigenomics. A board-certified registered dietitian, she brings expertise in applied nutrition education, pediatric nutrition, and interprofessional health care training. Tizzano earned her doctorate from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences College of Allied Health Nutritional Sciences, where she also served as director of the Interprofessional Graduate Certificate in Applied Nutrition.
In her new role, Tizzano will help prepare Manchester students to connect nutrition science with practical, patient-centered care. Her teaching emphasizes critical thinking, active engagement, and applied clinical reasoning, helping students build the confidence and professional judgment needed to serve as collaborative, responsible clinicians.
