    The global fame of Bad Bunny has raised popular awareness of Puerto Rico and its people, millions of whom live in the United States. In Chicago, the Puerto Rican community has played a pivotal role in shifting understandings of identity and belonging over the past century. This talk will demonstrate how Chicago and the whole Midwest have generated elements of culture and politics that helped pave the way for Bad Bunny's Super Bowl moment, and it will suggest a possible future path for Puerto Ricans and their relationship with the USA.

They became part of the foundation you’ve built your life on. On April 28, Manchester’s Giving Day brings our community together again. It’s a chance for alumni of all ages to give back to the place that gave us so much.

    Please save the date for Scholars Day 2026, a special event held on our Fort Wayne campus dedicated to celebrating student scholarship, research, and academic achievement across our program.     Join MU's very own Shakespearean expert and enthusiast Dr. Stacy Erickson-Pesetski, Professor of English and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, for three weeks of discussion of Twelfth Night (1601), one of Shakespeare's most read and performed comedies.  We'll have fun digging into the fun and chaotic plot — shipwreck! mistaken identity! unrequited love! — and also learn a bit about the play's 400+ performance history, including contemporary social commentary. Dr. Erickson-Pesetski has taught Shakespeare (and other classes!) at Manchester since 2007; she spends her summers reading Shakespeare with incarcerated adults and juveniles at the Allen County Jail in Fort Wayne and Logansport Juvenile Correctional Facility in Logansport. This event will be in-person and virtual. We'll meet in the Hoff room in upper Jo Young Switzer Center on June 11, 18, and 25 at 10:30 a.m. and the link to join us virtually is shared when you register. Register Here!
