  • Manchester Symphony Orchestra Concert

    Honeywell Center 275 W. Market St., Wabash, United States

    The Manchester Symphony Orchestra presents Music of England and Wales, featuring guest artist-in-residence Andrew Nesler, performing William Mathias' Piano Concerto No. 2. Nesler has performed throughout the United States, Canada, England, Wales, Germany, Czechia, and Austria. Specializing in post-World War II music, he earned a Master of Music degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where he developed a particular interest in Welsh piano music. Dr. Debra Lynn will conduct the performance, which will also include Three Dances from Henry VIII by Edward German, Pavane and Gigue by William Byrd, and Penillion by Grace Williams. Tickets are $20, but MU students get in for free. Buy tickets here!

    Becky Landes, regional value chain professional with Farmwise Indiana and former school food service director, will share insights from her career in child nutritionโ€”including efforts to bring local farm produce into the Manchester Junior-Senior High School cafeteriaโ€”and discuss her current work supporting local food systems and promoting social responsibility in food supply chains.
