  • Faith in the Field: Hospital Chaplaincy

    Wine Recital Hall

    Clarke Staton, chaplain resident at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, will discuss his work as a hospital chaplain. A former youth pastor, he has completed three Clinical Pastoral Education units at Ascension St. Vincent’s Hospital system, most recently serving as one of their select resident interns.

    Hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs, join us for a weekly chapel time starting November 3rd where we will discuss a variety of topics relating to faith and religion. - Nov. 3 & 10: Meet the pastors. Each week 3 area pastors will introduce themselves and share a brief testimony of their story and faith journey. - Nov 17: President Stacy Young will share her testimony and faith journey. - Nov 24: "Why Am I Here?" - One or two area pastors will share a message focusing on “Why Am I Here?” tying into topics such as purpose, identity, and doubt. - Dec. 1: "Where Am I Going?" - One or two area pastors will share a message focusing on “Where Am I Going?” tying into topics such as purpose, identity, and doubt. Christmas/Winter Break resuming Chapel on Monday, Jan. 13th.

  • Fall Choral Ensembles Concert – “Let There be Peace on Earth”

    Join us for "Let There be Peace on Earth," the Manchester University Fall Choral Concert. This concert will feature our A Capella Choir and Chamber Singers! The concert starts at 2:30 in the Wine Recital Hall on the North Manchester Campus and will also be livestreamed on the Music at Manchester Facebook Page. The concert is free and open to the public.   • Alternative Dispute Resolution and F.E.M.A.

    Tim Ruebke, former alternative dispute resolution deployable field advisor, will talk about his work as an alternative dispute resolution advisor (conflict mediator) for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), for which he has deployed to over 40 different disaster response locations in the U.S. He will explore the complexities of resolving conflict and explain key principles of effective conflict engagement.
