Social work students can participate in any MU study away opportunity.

Every year, an array of January Session travel courses are available. Travel with MU professors and students to Central America, Europe, the Middle East, and other fascinating destinations around the globe!

MU also offers a social work-specific study away semester in Chennai, India (pictured above), during which students take social work courses at Madras College and complete an internship with a local human service organization.

Social work students also have the option of a semester in Chicago studying urban social work through the Chicago Center for Urban Life and Culture.  An internship is part of the Chicago semester, too!  Pictured below is a recent MU social work class exploring Chicago.
